Some Navy Pier Attractions Were Closed Saturday And The Reason Really Blows!

Did you feel the how hard the winds were blowing on Saturday evening?

WGN News says that they were in between 30 and 40 miles an hour!

Because of those winds, Navy Pier closed the Wave Swinger and Ferris Wheel during the evening!

BTW-I know that Navy Pier refers to it as the Centennial Wheel, but does anyone actually call it that?

Is it kind of like how The Sears Tower became The Willis Tower, but most Chicagoans still refer to it by it’s former name?

I can see why they closed the Ferris Wheel! That’d be kind of freaky with it swinging all over the place!

The Wave Swingers, on the other hand, seem like they’re made just for the kind of wind we had this weekend!

Seems like it would’ve been fun and not that bad!
