“Fly” At The Field (Virtual Reality Style)

Steve Miller sings “Fly Like An Eagle” on 104.3 K-Hits. Did you ever think you could actually do it?

The Field Museum will host Birdly for one day only. That’s a flight simulator created by D3D Cinema in Evanston. Birdly uses virtual reality to send you soaring through the skies.

Basically, you lie stomach down on top of a machine, flapping your arms while wearing a headset. Sounds silly, but the experience is unbelievable! (See video above.)

You’ll feel the air, see the sights, and yes…you can actually crash. You know you want to.

Experience Birdly Thursday (4/13/2017) from 10:30am – 3:30pm on the main level of the Field. Believe it or not, there’s no extra charge to fly!
